Engineering guide
For device web console scope definition, map costs to work packages, deliverables and external inputs as shown below. This defines scope rather than a lump-sum price, fixed schedule, payment terms or default charging rules.
Break a device Web console cost estimate into pages and APIs, protocol adaptation, integration tests, deployment and maintenance. List equipment, servers and third-party licenses separately. Comparing cost estimates requires the same functions, input conditions and acceptance scope.
Turn functions into defined work packages
An API is an interface through which software exchanges data or requests an operation. Status reading, parameter writing and control actions have different responsibilities. Check readings against their data source; check writes for permission, readback and errors; define confirmation and audit records for control actions.

| Work package | Possible outputs | Conditions affecting cost |
|---|---|---|
| Scope and interface review | Page list, fields, interfaces and acceptance cases | Protocol completeness, prototypes and missing material |
| Pages and APIs | Status/configuration pages, access rules and error feedback | Roles, reports, multiple devices and offline use |
| Device adaptation | Protocol code and connection/failure records | Device revisions, debugging method and on-site support |
| Testing and deployment | Test matrix, deployment settings and regression records | Browsers, servers and network conditions |
| Maintenance and changes | Maintenance scope, reproduction data and change records | Device upgrades, new functions, hosting and service period |
Enquiry fields to prepare
Use these fields to establish cost estimate inputs. They do not prescribe a device count, schedule or price. State who will supply missing information and how it can be obtained.

| Input | Information to provide | Effect on scope |
|---|---|---|
| Devices and protocol | Models, firmware versions, connection method and protocol samples | Adaptation and on-site integration needs |
| Pages and fields | Page sketches, status fields, units and editable parameters | Front-end and interface boundaries |
| Users and permissions | Roles, read/write access and confirmation steps | Access-control and audit cases |
| Data and network | Data frequency, history and local or remote access | Processing and deployment requirements |
| Delivery and acceptance | Browsers, deployment location, source and documentation scope | Deliverables and testing effort |
Separate development work from external spending
For prototypes, test devices, servers, domains, certificates, licenses and on-site support, identify the provider, purchaser and service period. Check versions, permissions and renewal responsibility even when existing resources are used. Work-package counts do not determine payment percentages; record agreed commercial milestones separately.
Each acceptance case should define inputs, actions, expected results and a check method. Parameter saving can cover successful readback, out-of-range values, unauthorized requests and an unreachable device. Agree actual error codes and pass conditions during interface review.
Project and service references
The Jetson sky-imaging monitoring project, in Chinese includes Web management and device interfaces, illustrating the link to field data. For general requirements, see the management console development service, in Chinese. For Jetson gateways, field interfaces and edge deployment, also see Jetson edge gateway development, in Chinese. A cost estimate depends on the actual device, functions and delivery conditions.
Work packages and deliverables

| Work package | Deliverables to agree | External inputs and scope |
|---|---|---|
| Requirements and ownership | Page, role and device/gateway/platform responsibility inventories | Identify providers of device protocols and business decisions |
| Interface inventory | Fields, commands, permissions, errors and acceptance cases | Itemize devices, protocol clarification and external-system changes |
| Interaction prototype | States, exceptions, confirmation paths and review records | A prototype may use labeled simulated data; scope physical-device integration separately |
What inputs are needed before starting?
Device models and firmware, sample protocols, field units, read/write requirements, roles and deployment conditions. Check document versions and availability first and retain missing items as unresolved inputs.
How should delivery and acceptance be defined?
Compare each field with its source and page state, then test reads, write acceptance, device application and errors separately. A page or API demonstration does not establish device actuation; confirm device safety logic separately from console software.
Enterprises in Guangzhou, China, can submit these inputs for remote review. Agree prototype integration, sample shipment, site work and associated costs for the specific project.
Review the service scope and submit the project inputs before agreeing on development and delivery. Original Chinese service scope
